Recipe Details
Cherry almond tartlets are lovely for high holidays and high tea. This pretty Cherry & almond tarts takes a fluted pastry shell and fills it with a layer of almond flavored cream (Frangipane) and pitted sweet Bing Cherries. 


Cooking Instructions

1. Butter the bottom and sides of a 10" tart pan, line the bottom with buttered parchment paper, and set it aside.
2. Preheat the oven to 350° F.
3. Mix the ground almonds, sugar, flour and grated orange zest, and set them aside.
4. Melt the butter.
5. Beat the eggs.
6. Beat the orange juice and the butter into them.
7. Stir in the dry ingredients.
8. Pour into the tart pan.
9. Sprinkle the cherries evenly over the batter.
10. Bake at 350°F for 35-40 minutes.



Garnishing Instructions
Sprinkle the cherries evenly over the batter.

Serving Instructions
Drizzle over the tarts and leave to set.
